A missing child was swiftly located following an hour-long search by police in Felixstowe.

The five-year-old girl had been playing with a member of her family on the seafront but disappeared at about 4pm.

A search was launched by Suffolk police but the girl was found safe and well nearby at about 5pm.

  • Glad she is ok. This story reminded me of the time my younger brother Mickey went missing in Felixstowe. My Mum was in hysterics, it was about 1975 and in those days Felixstowe was still a brilliant day out, there used to be 1000s of people down on the beach, and Mannings was still in its glory years. I believe he was returned by a total stranger, he was grinning away scoffing away on a candy floss.
