Two vessels got stranded on the notorious Deben Bar at the entrance to the river at Felixstowe Ferry.
Felixstowe Coastguard kept watch on the yacht Calyce, which had one person on board, after it ran aground on the shingle bar at the estuary mouth.
The incident happened at around 8.30am yesterday and the Deben harbourmaster craft Ragamuffin was called to tow the yacht off the bar and back into the safety of the River Deben.
Later in the day Thames Coastguard kept a watching brief on the motor sailor Bandicote after it also went aground on the bar at about 6pm.
The vessel refloated safely and made its way safely to Ramsholt, without any assistance.
