Students at a Suffolk school are performing its version of a popular West End play this week.
The Lion King is being performed by 127 pupils at Finborough School, with children aged 7-17 taking part.
The production is the first in the school’s new sports hall, and students were wished good luck before their five sell-out performances by Jonathon Andrew Hume, who plays Simba in the production in the Lyceum Theatre, London.
Georgie Ross, head of performing arts at the school, said following a visit to see the play in the capital, the students received a letter wishing them luck and an ornamental Simba mask.
Mrs Ross said: “I’m so proud of all the students involved. They have been fantastic to work with and the production has been great. This is my 19th school show and it’s the best one yet.”
