Firefighters were called to a roof fire in Bury St Edmunds this evening.

Two fire engines attended to a building in Brentgovel Street at 8.50pm, after reports the roof was on fire.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said it happened at a three-storey brick building described as “partially under-construction.”

One crew has remained at the scene while the flames are being extinguished.
