“She was our deputy head at Rougham Primary (where I still teach) in the 1990s before becoming headteacher at Great Whelnetham Primary.

Meanwhile, Laura Mayhew wrote: “Regarding the picture of Leiston Cage Bird Show.

“I believe he is talking to Malcolm Rees who, as I am sure you know, worked for the EADT for a number of years.

“My dad died in 2008 and although I have a lot of pictures from his work, I had not seen this one before, so thank you.”

Another reader, Joanne Holbrow write regarding a picture from Hadleigh Youth Club, taken in 1979. She said: “The boy on the far left is Trevor Holbrow, my dad. They were doing a 24-hour sponsored ping pong and snooker challenge. He was 17 at the time.”

Christmas memories have been flooding back for Michael and Joy West, who said: “Father Christmas’ helper in the picture at Southwold in 1975 is our daughter Ann (now Ann Jerman). It was in his grotto behind the Swan Hotel.”

Finally, Chris Burman said of our tinkling the ivories photo: “Centre back is Calvin Goymer. Still playing the organ today, professionally I believe.
