The manager of a fruit and vegetable wholesaler has said he is “absolutely gutted” after his business was ransacked by robbers last night.
Brandon Fosker of Foskers Fruit and Veg Suppliers, Ipswich, said the destruction left by robbers who stole one van and left another unusable had left his offices in “devastation”.
The burglars also took £200 of cash and a large old style safe with cash inside.
“The premises are only three months old,” Mr Fosker said.
“All the offices were brand new. It is distressing to be honest. All the hard work we have done to move here and make it nice and then it’s been undone.”
Police are appealing for information after the business premises on Bucklesham Road, Foxhall, were burgled.
Between 6pm yesterday, Tuesday 15, and 1am yesterday morning, Wednesday 16 October, the offices were broken into via a ground floor window.
The offices were searched and the keys for a white Ford Transit van, registration AX11 CEJ, were taken and used to steal the van from the premises.
Office furniture and equipment were damaged during the burglary, and a second transit van belonging to the business was moved, but not taken.
