SHE’S the little girl who melted the Duchess of Cambridge’s heart last year.

Now Bethany Woods’s special ‘Thank you’ card is on its way to her hero Peter Andre – just in time for his 40th birthday.

The 11-year-old from Cecil Road in Ipswich is a regular visitor to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Treehouse centre in Ipswich.

The youngster was born with merosin negative congenital muscular dystrophy, a condition which means she has poor muscle tone, a tightness in her joints and respiratory problems.

But it has not stopped her becoming a star at the hospice, singing in concerts and entertaining other patients, families and staff.

Last year she was chosen to present a bouquet to the Duchess of Cambridge when she formally opened the new hospice building.

Now Bethany has made a special card for her hero, singer and reality TV star Peter Andre, which she gave to his brother on Saturday night.

Michael Andre is one of the best-known names on the club DJ scene.

He was hosting a charity night at the Purple Lounge in Falcon Street to help raise money for EACH, where he accepted Bethany’s card on behalf of his famous brother.

He told The Star: “Peter will love this. He’ll be very pleased. It’s his 40th this week and he’ll be really happy to get this.”

Michael was delighted to be hosting the event to raise money for the hospice.

He added: “We all feel its important to help others. Peter would have loved to be here, but he’s got another engagement tonight.”

But he said he hoped he might be able to arrange a personal meeting, next time he appeared in the town.

Using her handprints to decorate the card, Bethany designed the gift after Peter donated calendars to the hospice. She said: “I really like Peter Andre. It’s so exciting to come here.”

Purple Lounge boss Mark Beadsworth said: “This is the first charity event we’ve held and I’m delighted to be helping EACH.

“Michael is a friend of mine and as soon as he heard about it, he was quick to say he would love to take part.”
