Classic cars from across the decades were on display at one of the biggest events of its type in the region.

Around 800 cars were on display on the showground at Stonham Barns, near Stowmarket, attracting thousands of people on Sunday.

Alan Forward, owner of Stonham Barns, said: “We had 800 cars, which was up on last year, and if we had better weather I think we would have had even more cars.

“But we had a good gate. It is a really strong event and we didn’t have any complaints.”

Live bands provided a musical backdrop to proceedings while bargain-hunters could also look round a vintage market.

Mr Forward added: “We have had a lot of comments saying how Stonham Barns has improved in general over recent years. We have a lot more shops and the car boot sale was very busy on Saturday morning.

“We are looking forward to next year’s event now.”
