A BLUE plaque trail in Bury St Edmunds celebrates the lives of seven people with connections with the town.

Follow the trail and learn of Bury’s links with writers Charles Dickens and Norah Lofts, painter Rose Mead, artist Sybil Andrews, diarist James Oakes, collector Frederic Gershom Parkington and architect Lewis Nockalls Cottingham.

The town’s first blue plaque scheme has been organised by the Bury Society.
