Parks and gardens across the region have turned into seas of golden reds and brown as autumn finally arrives.
Despite the nights drawing in and the cold and blustery weather of late, the weekend brought some welcome sun, highlighting the beautiful landscape.
Photographers have been taking full advantage and capturing some of the stunning scenes, reminding us how beautiful the change in season can be as green leaves give way to a rich mix of brown, reds and yellows.
Yesterday saw a return to wetter conditions, with regular outbreaks of light rain and drizzle throughout the afternoon.
The bleak weather is set to continue for the rest of the week, with cloudy skies, drizzle and fog patches, but there should be some bright spells breaking through.
