Rain failed to dampen the spirits at a popular west Suffolk car show this weekend as hundreds of pounds were raised for charity.

The Jag Fest in Acton still went down a storm on Sunday as classic Jaguars went on display in the second running of the car show, organised by the Paul Roach Jaguar dealership and Sudbury Churches Together. Visitors came from as far away as Australia and Nova Scotia, with serving and retired servicemen and women attending the event, which was raising funds for The Soldiers’ Charity.

Organiser Mr Roach said: “It went extremely well, although obviously we were blighted by the weather. We had quite a lot of people bring their cars out to display and there was a lot of interest in the issues that were discussed. A huge amount of effort went into it.”

Mr Roach added he was still in the process of counting the funds raised but said it would be in the region of £800.
