Harry Potters, Wicked Witches and assorted characters from Alice in Wonderland and Roald Dahl books could be found wandering around Manningtree High School this week.
The fancy-dress initiative was part of the school’s celebration of World Book Day where students were encouraged to attend dressed as a character from a cherished book.
Other activities included teachers reading from their favourite books and more lesson time given over purely for children to read.
