The collection, which is separated into two lots of three books, is being sold at Lockdales in Martlesham Heath.

All the albums show pictures from the period 1956 to 1963 and include a variety of incidents.

Many of the pictures depict fires and business premises, homes or farms.

However there are also depictions of call outs to road accidents as well as incidents on railways and at sea. Both of the albums are valued between £180 and £200 but are expected to go for more when they are put up for sale on July 12.

The day before, a medal awarded to First World War Harwich fireman W.P. Tyrell will be sold.

The medal was in appreciation of his remarkable record and the “admirable way” he carried out his duties. Mr Tyrell was called out on 145 occasions between 1914 and 1918 including 108 air raid alarms. The guide price for the medal is £80-£120.
