SCANDINAVIAN migrants have been on the hunt for food this week.

And one tiny fieldfare took his search to the garden of Brian and Margaret Holland, in Ipswich.

Mr Holland said: “Margaret as usual cannot miss an opportunity so has been taking a few shot from our conservatory with doors wide open and yes, she froze, but got these images. They show how birds cope in the snow with a little help from people.”

Realising that the tiny creature would be struggling for food, the couple helped him out.

“All we did was to place a few apples on the lawn in our tiny garden.”
