There was pandemonium outside The Perfume Shop in Bury St Edmunds this afternoon as hundreds turned out to catch a glimpse of Peter Andre.

Fans of the singer and TV personality queued for hours for the chance to meet and have their picture taken with the Australian star, who was in town promoting his new perfume.

Hundreds of shoppers flocked to the store in The Arc for Mr Andre’s appearance, with screams audible around the town when he arrived at around 2.30pm.

After the signing Mr Andre tweeted: “Wow thanks to the thousands of you who just turned up for perfume signing. Wow Bury :)”
