DAGGER-like icicles line the roadside in Eye today, creating an Arctic feel.

Angie Kowalczyk, of Stowmarket, captured these images as she drove along Yaxley Road, in Eye. Shocked by what she saw, Angie posted the photos on our Facebook page and asked: “Has anyone ever seen icicles like these before in Suffolk?”

Margaret Chapman captured similar-looking ‘ice sculptures’ in Redgrave, and sent her photos via iwitness.

Other iwitnesses have sent in their snow scenes, and at first glance Mike Hughes’s photo of a field in Bixley, with a bright sky, looked like a sunny beach scene - the snow the colour of white sand.

  • To Don Wilson, Do not yearn too much as on this side of the pond it is very much rip off britain, it'll cost you a days wage in fuel tax to travel a few miles to see the delights of our lovely Suffolk. Probably won't be posted due to not actually allowed to mention the truth.
