Ten little chicks recently hatched at Sir Robert Hitcham’s Primary School in Framlingham.

Children have been able to check, watch and handle the tiny balls of fluff, which hatched last week and are being kept until Friday. A web cam has also been set up so the chicks can be viewed from any classroom. The Living Egg Company provided the eggs and necessary equipment.

Science co-ordinator Carla Ashberry said: “The children have loved it. They have spent lots of time holding them and we have also done drawings and learnt about the life cycle of a chicken. It’s a great chance to bring science to life.
