Firefighters were called to a barn in Gosbeck in the early hours of Wednesday following reports of a van fire which was spreading to the building and a large heating oil tank.

Crews from Princes Street and Needham Market were sent to the scene in Helmingham Road after the alarm was raised shortly before 1.20am.

At 1.50am, it was reported the fire had spread to the detached barn and that cylinders and petrol and diesel were also involved in the blaze. The firefighters on scene protected 500litres of heating oil.

Two hose reels and a 45ml jet were used to tackle the blaze, which was extinguished just after 3am.
