Graffiti offers drivers a ‘smiley’ welcome to Suffolk

Motorists arriving in Suffolk are getting an unusual welcome at Nayland.
For days, the county emblem has been painted over on the sign announcing entry into the county from Essex as drivers come across the bridge over the River Stour.
However, over the Christmas period someone with a spray can has put a smiley face over the emblem. Drivers heading in the opposite direction along the A134, by contrast, are greeted by a shiny, unmarked blue sign welcoming them to Essex.
