Police this morning have confirmed that a 41-year-old man from Thurston was killed yesterday morning at the Cattishall level crossing in Great Barton.

The cyclist’s death is not being treated as suspicious, but the British Transport Police are not ruling out the possibility it was a tragic accident.

Paramedics attended the incident just after 9am, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.

Investigators are now preparing a file for the coroner.
