Firefighters tackled a field blaze in Great Cornard this afternoon.

Crews from Colchester, Sudbury and Halstead attended the fire off Bures Road at 11.33am.

The straw stubble blaze was put out using hose reel jets and beaters by 12.21pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
