A milk churn containing around £150 in church donations has been cut free from a gatepost and stolen.

St Peter’s Church in Great Livermere had used the churn, valued at £50, to collect its donations for more than 30 years.

It had been chained to a gatepost but was stolen by the thief sometime between 9.10am and 7.30pm on Friday, June 27.

Anyone with information is asked to call St Edmundsbury Rural North Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 quoting reference BR/14/443. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
