Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of a three-vehicle collision in Essex this afternoon.

The incident happened in Green Lane, Great Horkesley, at about 2.10pm. Two fire crews from Colchester were sent to the incident.

One woman was trapped in one of the vehicles so firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle to release her from the vehicle.

She was then treated for her injuries.

The road was closed for about two hours while the emergency services, which also included police, dealt with the scene.

It is understood that nobody suffered any serious injuries.
