They want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity around All Saints Church of England Primary School in Great Oakley last Monday evening.

Thieves are believed to have tried to get into the school in Beaumont Road some time between 5pm on April 21 and 7.30am the following day.

A window in a side door was smashed but no entry was gained and nothing is believed to have been taken.

PC Steve Baldwin said: “Although they did not get in, the cost of the damage is estimated at £500 and I would very much like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity on the school grounds or nearby between the relevant times.”

Anyone with information can call PC Baldwin at Harwich Police Station on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
