Firefighters in Essex were called to the scene of a road collision in which a vehicle left the roadway and collided with a lamp post.
The crash involved on vehicle and happened in Abdy Avenue, Harwich, at about 3.50pm.
Two fire crews from Dovercourt were called to help cut a man free from the wreckage.
Electricity engineers were called to the scene to make sure the area was safe.
