Police are carrying out an investigation in to a burglary

Thieves ransacked a house in Harwich and stole computer games equipment worth more than £600.

Detectives investigating the break-in at a house in Canning Street said the thieves left the house in a mess – taking with them an Xbox with sensor and controllers, worth £250, and 15 games, worth a total of £375, plus some grey stone cufflinks and perfume.

They got in by smashing glass in the rear door.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in Canning Street between 8am and 7.50pm on Thursday, March 6, or who has been offered similar items for sale, should call DC Bernadette Lord at Clacton CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
