Police appeal for information about assault in Harwich


A man has been assaulted with a pool cue in Harwich.


The 41-year-old victim, from Harwich, was attacked by two men at about 8.45pm on May 4 in West Street.

They struck him on the back and then went inside a house, returning with a chain and a bladed weapon and threatened him further. The victim received minor injuries following the assault.

Investigating officer Pc Paul Kilgannon said: “This was a Bank Holiday weekend so there would have been witnesses to this assault. I would ask anybody that does have any information to contact me.”
