A man has been assaulted with a pool cue in Harwich.

The 41-year-old victim, from Harwich, was attacked by two men at about 8.45pm on May 4 in West Street.

They struck him on the back and then went inside a house, returning with a chain and a bladed weapon and threatened him further. The victim received minor injuries following the assault.

Investigating officer Pc Paul Kilgannon said: “This was a Bank Holiday weekend so there would have been witnesses to this assault. I would ask anybody that does have any information to contact me.”

Anybody that can help is asked to call Pc Kilgannon at Harwich on Essex Police 101 or they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
