Fire crews have put out a small fire in a kitchen at a house in Haverhill.

They were called at 12.52pm to the blaze in Downs Crescent.

One appliance from Haverhill and one from Linton attended the scene and crews wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

A Suffolk playwright has teamed up with an author from north of the county border to adapt a locally-published book for TV.
