Hollesley/London: Man serving more than six years for firearms offences is detained after absconding from Hollesley Bay

A 34-year-old man who absconded from Hollesley Bay following a period of home leave has been detained by police in London.

Leon Brown, 34, was serving more than six years for firearms offences, was due to return by 3.30pm yesterday but failed to show and was reported missing to police.

A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed this morning that Brown has presented himself to the Metropolitan police and been detained in North London.
