Three Bangladeshi men, aged 24, 46 and 48 were found to be working illegally in the restaurant by immigration enforcement officers yesterday evening.

The Home Office said that the three men had overstayed their visas to remain in the UK.

They added that the men had been detained while steps were taken to have them removed from the country.

The Royal Bengal has now been served with a notice warning them that they could face a fine of up to £20,000 for having the three illegal workers at the premises.

Meaning in total they face a bill of £60,000 unless they can prove that checks were carried out on the men, proving that they had the right to work.

The Royal Bengal declined to comment.
