A man from Ipswich has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in the town earlier this month.

Police were called to Sapphire Close on the evening of July 6 after a man in his 30s suffered wounds to his chest, arm and abdomen.

Police have now announced that a 22-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested at a property in the Colchester area in connection with the incident.

He is currently being questioned at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in connection with a crash between two lorries and a car today.
