Fire fighters in Ipswich have extinguished a fire in a motor boat at Levington Marina.

One fire engine from Ipswich East and one from Princes Street were sent to the fire following a report at 6.36pm.

Crews found one boat on hard standing with a fire in the cabin area and used a hose reel and covering jet to extinguish it. Further assistance was requested as a second boat also caught alight.

It is believed the fires were started deliberately.
