One of the largest charity shops in Suffolk was forced to close on Saturday after an overnight raid by burglars.
The Age UK furniture and household store is in the former Co-op department store premises in Carr Street.
The raid was discovered by staff as they arrived to open up on Saturday – and meant they were not able to open the doors to the public.
A sign was put up in the door apologising for the fact that the store was not able to open on Saturday – however no one from Age UK was available to comment about the break-in.
