Ipswich: Crews extinguish fire in pottery kilns

FIREFIGHTERS put out a fire in a college’s pottery kiln earlier this afternoon.

A crew from Princes Street were called to an automatic fire alarm at Suffolk New College in Rope Walk, Ipswich and arrived on scene at 5.51pm.

A small fire was found in the pottery ovens and was extinguished on arrival.

The crew were back at station by 6:16pm
