Police are investigating claims two women have been “touched inappropriately” in Ipswich town centre in the last three days.

A woman told detectives a man approached her from behind near the entrance of the Wolsey Theatre in Civic Drive and put his hand up her dress before running off.

It took place at around 1.50pm on Wednesday.

Detectives are linking this to a similar incident in which a woman told police that as she bent down to pick up an item in a Dorothy Perkins shop in the Cornhill, she was approached by a man who put his hand up her skirt before apologising and walking out.

The incident took place between 1.35pm and 1.45pm yesterday.

In the first incident, the man is described as white, between 30 and 35 years old, around 5ft 8ins tall, with short thinning dark brown hair and a bald patch at the rear of his head. He was also clean shaven and wearing a dark red T-shirt and blue jeans with a brown belt.

In the second incident, the man is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, with short fair hair and wearing a long sleeved brown jumper, light blue jeans and white trainers.

Witnesses or people with information relating to this incident are urged to call police on 101.

The body of a man found near Leavenheath this afternoon is believed to be that of missing Richard Hull, police have confirmed.

A super slimmer from Colchester told she was a ticking time bomb at 32 stone is enjoying a new lease of life – after shedding half her body weight.

A brave Kesgrave teenager who lost a leg to cancer hit headlines for passing her driving test a year early but she may now face losing that independence – and her beloved car.

A short stroll from the Cornhill can be packed with history, change and stories.

The man who spearheaded efforts to build a northern by-pass across Ipswich 25 years ago has backed new plans to build the road that are now emerging.

A man arrested in connection with an incident that saw armed police descend on Ipswich town centre last night will face no further action.

Jeremy Hunt has come under fire for a post he put on social media following a private visit to Ipswich Hospital.
