Police are appealing for a witness to come forward after a woman was inappropriately touched by a man outside University Campus Suffolk.

The incident happened in Neptune Quay, Ipswich, at around 3am on April 8. The woman was followed by the man from the Cardinal Park area to the university.

A 24-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre. He has been bailed to return on June 1.

Whilst outside Chimichanga on Cardinal Park, a taxi stopped and a woman got out. The female victim asked for help, before the woman got back into the taxi and drove away.

Police are keen for the woman from the taxi to come forward or anyone with information by calling Ipswich police on 101 and quoting reference IC/14/1352.
