Officers are appealing for help to trace a 52-year-old woman who was reported missing earlier today.

Police were called at around 6.45pm by a relative concerned for the well-being of Heidi Vigden, who was last seen at around 9am today at her home address in Mersey Road, Ipswich.

Although Mrs Vidgen, who is white, around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium to large build, with long blond hair, has been missing before there is concern for her welfare.

It appears she left her mobile phone at home and that she had not taken her prescription medication before she left.

She may have limited mobility due to a back condition and could still be in the local area or may have taken public transport and be further afield.

It is not known what clothing she was wearing when she went missing.

Anyone with information should call the duty sergeant at Ipswich police on 101.
