Police are appealing for witnesses after three vans were broken into and tools stolen in Ipswich.
The incidents happened in Robin Drive between 6pm on Sunday 13 October and 8am on Monday 14 October.
During the first theft, an offender has gained entry to a van and stolen a Bosch circular saw, a Dewalt radio, nail gun and Stihl disc cutter.
In the second, offenders have forced entry to a van and stolen electrical multi-testing equipment, four reels of earthing cable, a tool bag containing various hand tools and two Hilti drills from within.
During the third, offenders have gained entry to a van and stolen a Bosch screwdriver, Bosch cutter, Bosch cordless drill and a Dewalt combi-drill from within.
Police are reminding van and business owners:
- Don’t leave anything on display and take tools with you when you leave your van.
- Get an alarm installed.
- Consider marking all your valuables that you frequently take in your van.
- Lock all doors and close windows every time you leave your van unattended.
- If you have a garage, use it. If you don’t always try and park in a well-lit open place.
