A chimney fire broke out in at a property in Brookfield Road, Ipswich, last night.

Firefighters from Princes Street station were alerted to the fire at about 10.45pm and found it to be “well alight” upon arrival, less than 10 minutes later.

The fire was put out using a stirrup and chimney rods by 11.30pm.
