A BLAZE in a storage area underneath flats in Peterhouse Close, Ipswich, has been extinguished.

The fire service received a call to a building fire there at 12.17pm and mobilised crews from Princes Street and Ipswich East.

They used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one covering jet to put the fire out.

They were back at base by 1.21pm.
