Police have appealed for information after a man was attcked by a woman holding a butter knife.

A man has sustained minor injuries after being attacked by a woman with a butter knife.

The incident occurred in Henslow Road at around 4.50pm on Friday, when a woman holding a butter knife approached the man in the street and casued a small scratch to his arm.

She then walked off towards Freehold Road.

The woman is described as white, approximately 5’6” tall, approximately 45-years-old, with short, dark coloured hair.

She was wearing a dark coloured top.

  • this is also my dad who is in his late 70s he was crept up from behind and stabbed in his shoulder with a sharp object NO body said it was a butter knife they need to get there facts right this was only short distance from where he lives it has left him very shaken This person needs to be caught as it might be more serious next time

  • It was my dad who was attacked and he was not scratched on his arm with a butter knife he was actually stabbed in the back of his shoulder with a something sharp .I cannot believe the police and newspaper actually wrote a butter knife did they see it have they found the weapon NO
