A man has been charged tonight with making a threat to kill and false imprisonment following an incident in Ipswich.
Russell Ireland, 29, of no fixed abode, was arrested after police were called to an address in Cullingham Road.
At around 3.15pm on Friday officers received reports that a man had assaulted a boy in his teens, at an address in London Road, Ipswich. The boy received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Inquiries then transferred to the property in Cullingham Road.
Following questioning and ongoing inquiries, Ireland was arrested and has now been charged with three counts of false imprisonment; threatening to kill; threatening a person with a blade in a public place; burglary; actual bodily harm; and assault on a police officer.
He is being held in custody and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
