A man required surgery to his hand after an assault in Ipswich.

It happened in Old Foundry road at 3.40am on Sunday.

A 21-year-old man was with his friend when a man with two women passed them.

A man was pushed into a window after an altercation between the two men, causing it to smash.

The offender is described as white, six foot tall, of medium build, in his mid-twenties, with short dark hair, and wearing a tight blue jumper and jeans.
