IPSWICH: A loving mum has been left speechless by the generosity of complete strangers who are helping her to make her daughter’s dream come true.

Sarah Lawrance and husband Peter have embarked on a £40,000 fundraising mission to change their daughter Brooke’s life forever and make her wish of walking a reality.

Brooke, six, was left wheelchair-bound after being diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby.

Brooke’s Wish To Walk appeal for the life-changing selective dorsal rhizotomy operation now stands at £4,913 after a flurry of donations.

Carlford Court sheltered housing scheme in Parliament Road, Ipswich, has donated the proceeds from a cake sale and raffle, while Mr Lawrance’s employers, Ransomes Jacobsen, donated £1,000 from a raffle and quiz night.

Anonymous cheques were also sent in.

“I don’t know what to say,” said Mrs Lawrance, of Morland Road, Ipswich. “Knowing how generous everyone has been is amazing, breathtaking and extremely emotional.”
