A WOMAN has lost more than a third of her bodyweight after taking up exercise and kicking crisps and sweets.
Katie Peck, from Holbrook, lost 7st 8lb in just over 12 months after joining Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Club.
The 30-year-old, who went from 18st 1lb to 10st 7lb, said she had struggled with her weight since she was a teenager.
Ms Peck, who can now slip into a size eight or 10 rather than a size 20, added: “I hated the way I looked and wanted to lose weight to get healthier. I used to eat all of the wrong foods, including lots of crisps and sweets.”
Kay Fletcher, an instructor at the club, said she had seen a total transformation in Ms Peck as the weight dropped off.
She added: “Since losing such an astounding amount of weight, Katie has completely transformed herself.
“She has gone from being a very shy individual to someone who is very chatty. Instead of wearing dark colours all of the time she now wears bright colours and her confidence has really shone through.”
Ms Peck said she had joined the Rosemary Conley club due to its combination of exercise and healthy eating and thanked other members and instructors for their time and motivation.
She added: “Kay was a great support to me which motivated me to keep going with the diet to reach my goal weight.”
The super-slimmer, who still works out to DVDs and exercises at the club, said she is enjoying being able to walk further and faster without getting out of breath.
“I also now enjoy buying clothes,” she added.
