Two 18-year-old men have been arrested by police on suspicion of assault after reports of a fight breaking out in Wolsey Street, Ipswich, at around 3.40am this morning.

A man was left requiring hospital treatment after receiving a cut to his head and a suspected broken nose.

The men, both from the Stowmarket area, were arrested and have been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where they await questioning.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

Floods block Holywells Road, Ipswich
