A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent after an assault in Ipswich which left a teenager with serious injuries.
Police were called to Landseer Road at about 6.55pm yesterday when a 16-year-old boy was struck to the head with a pole while walking along the road.
The boy is currently at Addenbrookes Hospital.
The 21-year-old, from Newmarket, was arrested this afternoon and was taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
