A 44-year-old woman has been arrested and bailed in connection with the stabbing of a man in Dillwyn Street, Ipswich.

Officers were sent to a flat in the street at about 6.40pm on Saturday and found a man with stab wounds. The man, 42, is in Addenbrookes Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman, who is from the Ipswich area, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

She has now been released on police bail and is due to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on March 4.
