Six fire crews are at the scene


FIRE crews have tackled a chimney blaze at a house in a west Suffolk village. The blaze was at a home in Chalk Lane in Ixworth, near Bury St Edmunds, and fire crews were called at 1.30pm.

The crew from Ixworth fire station was at the scene within minutes and the flames were under control by 2.05pm.


Police were deployed to the scene

An armed police officer was called to Kesgrave as a safety precaution after a report was received of an injured dog today.
