Jaywick: Firefighters attend bungalow fire in Swift Avenue

Firefighters were called to a smoke-filled bungalow in Jaywick this morning.

Two crews from Clacton attended the Swift Avenue property at around 6.30am and found the building to be “20% alight and 100% smoke logged”.

The fire was extinguished by 7.35am and crews remained on scene to check for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera.

An investigation will be held into the fire’s cause.
